OMIDAN ORENTE AREWA

Omidan
Radiating serene atmosphere
Basking in the light glow of your care
Stunned, cant move an inch, like a deer
Caught in the headlights
The world is but a village
But the four corners of the village
Cannot produce another magnificent
Being like you. Most beneficent
Lord bestowed upon thee
Silky smooth shinning skin, sheen
Orente
The dark skinned lady full of lustre
Blinding beauty sheening so far
Seeing you gives me akinesis
Can't move breathe or giggle
Your smile like anaesthetic
Conscious but can't feel my brain tick
Radiant laughter made me apologetic
For sins of past and present and future
Arewa
Protuberant eyes got me captivated
Overwhelmed by your imperfect perfection
Full eyebrows turning me wandering
Through the depths of forest so deep
Omoge oreke to quintessential
I will praise your beauty a quintillion times
In all time and climes
Perfection Personified

The Great Fire

Consuming all in it’s path Sprinting around with energy abound Shapeless like an ameoba Burning twigs, hides, fur and skin Destroying everything it touches Licking the ground clean Insatiable, more victims it want Leaving desolation in it’s wake Making landlord homeless And the homeless hopeless Fiery body of destruction Grey, colourless and white ashes Marking it’s trail Melting iron And boiling steel The great fire consumes all And spare none. I seek refuge in the Lord From the evils of the fire.

Keys and Strings

Astonished I am By thine comely grace Lush green leaves swaying in the breeze All hang their apex in jealousy When you walk by The midday sun is it as hot As your cool beauty. Awesomeness is your birthright Omidan, Arẹwà Ọmọge míì. I don't know how to play the harp I'd have sing to you With the strings. And I can't play the piano I'd have made you blush With the keys. All I know is lines I hope my lines are strong enough To reel you in. To me, Mine and mine alone. There is love in sharing, But I can't share my love. I'm the sole proprietor here.  Ridwan Akinkunmi Àjàgbé. Abu Marwan (Sophocles)
