Half way up the mountain
Snow capped peak beckoning
Parched, wineskin dry, no fountain
Base so far. No returning
My heart longs for both
Quizzically. What's the solution
Stone set, unchangeable oath
The end is near, living on rations
The tiniest movement
Triggered an avalanche
Consuming all in it's path
I might just jump and break a neck
Either way

Always dark, no way
For light in the abyss of darkness lagoon
